Men’s Issues
As men, we’re often taught we’re supposed to be tough, independent, and in control. Unfortunately, if we’re successful at being a “real man”, we’ll probably also end up feeling isolated, empty, and disconnected. I want you to know that there is another way to live. The world needs us as men to do our work, and I’m here to support you growing the skills you need to be a true protector, a provider, and a man of integrity. Working with me, therapy functions as a gym for building the various skills we need through dedication, discipline, and courage.
Changing Habit Patterns
Habits- whether “bad” or “healthy”- are learned behaviors. Changing unhealthy habits and building more effective habits requires understanding the habit’s function and the pattern, recognizing even small moments of choice, and incorporating changes at a sustainable pace. I support you developing more effective strategies to resource yourself, strengthen the sense of self-trust, and experiencing greater freedom and empowerment in relationship to your life.

Shame Resilience
Our inner critic/shame shows up in many forms. Its essential story is that we’re not enough. Through our sessions, you build the skills to courageously witness shame stories while releasing the pain that comes from believing them. As your skills grow, you’ll recognize shame more quickly, and move through it with greater ease. The goal here is to reclaim your freedom to live authentically, set healthy boundaries, deeply trust others and yourself, and act from a place of integrity rather than being ruled by what others think you “should” be.
